Camp Joy continues its mission to teach sustainable agriculture by connecting with those who are eager to learn. Jim Nelson and the extended family at Camp Joy have been exchanging knowledge for decades. And as those people embark on their own meaningful projects, ripples of this important work resonate out into our communities and beyond. Every season presents different tasks that can always use extra hands. In the springtime we work on seed propagation, preparing beds and transplanting. Summer gives way to watering, weeding, cultivation and gathering the bountiful harvest. In fall we focus on cover cropping, composting and preparing for our annual wreath sale and open house. Call to set up and confirm a day to get involved.
