Our classes and gatherings are an outgrowth of both our seasonal farm activities and requests from members who are interested in particular farm and home-making activities like making compost, preserving food, or keeping bees. Most of our classes are taught by the Camp Joy staff; occasionally we also invite friends to teach classes in their specialty. Both classes and our special events offer a special opportunity for old and new friends to tour the garden, revel in its bounty, and talk with the people who tend it.
Camp Joy members receive a $10.00 discount on classes. Join any time – $25 annual dues. Become a member!
No one will be turned away from learning! Scholarships available. Call us at 831-338-3651 or send an email to campjoy@cruzio.com for inquiries.
Many hands make light work, and it’s fun to be together in the garden! We can’t do it alone and we would love to have your help throughout the season. Tasks will focus on what needs to be done that week and we will learn as we go.
All ages and abilities are welcome. Leave pets at home. Please plan to supervise your young ones if they come along. Please preregister to let us know you are coming. Wear sturdy shoes and sun protection, dress in layers. Bring your gloves or any personal tools you might need to be comfortable. You are welcome to participate in our potluck lunch after we finish the work of the day.
